We manufacture our products exclusively in Europe.

It's a deliberate choice, in order to guarantee quality, local employment, on-demand production and supply, and environmental responsibility...

But most importantly, we go where the passionate producers are:

Take for example bed linen, bath linen, 100% cotton; we have not found better than the ancestral know-how of Portugal for this, all luxury brands produce in the same workshops as those of BED REPUBLIC.

In which European countries do you produce?

We manufacture in France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Poland

Does manufacturing locally necessarily cost more?

Not necessarily.

Of course, in the initial price comparison, we will never be cheaper than a budget product distributed by a major retailer, and manufactured 12,000km away in disastrous conditions...

But in the end, BED REPUBLIC will even cost you less: because you'll gain in quality and the durability of your product.

As a French company, why don't you produce all your items in France?

That would be our greatest wish!

Unfortunately, we have to face the facts: producing everything in France is difficult, sometimes even impossible.

- Some professions have disappeared

- The cost can be prohibitive for some products.

- Some industries no longer exist or are better controlled by other regions or countries.

(but we would love to have everything local but we remain realistic).

Made to order

From the very beginning of the BED REPUBLIC adventure (and that goes back a few years already), we imposed this "offbeat" concept, in an era of 48-hour express delivery, where a pizza arrives faster than an ambulance...

We take the time to prepare your order, in order to make beautiful things.

We make our products on demand (no upstream stock), like all luxury brands do.

You place the order, we produce it.

Like a harvested fruit, we (almost) only deliver "freshly produced" products.

This is a deliberate choice, in order to guarantee exceptional value for money.

What does on-demand production entail?

Out of stock.

No production surplus

No storage costs.

No sales or clearance.

A fresh product, made for you, tailor-made, at a controlled price, which will not be transported from warehouse to warehouse to be stored there for months waiting for promotions.

We make your order when you place it, because that means there is a need on your part to own this item.

And even if we don't sell millions of products, it doesn't matter.

You just need to be patient: between 1-5 weeks, with an average delay of about 3 weeks.

How long can I expect to wait for delivery?

Express 48-hour delivery and quality often don't go hand in hand. If you want quality, freshness, and a good price, you have to be a little patient.

This is how the luxury industry works: you place an order, then you receive it once it's made.

Between 1 and 5 weeks, depending on your order, your country and delivery area.

We are currently experiencing an average delay of approximately 2-3 weeks.

All of this is shown in your shopping cart before you confirm your order.

Ecological responsibility

We manufacture our products exclusively in Europe, on demand: this means that we will only produce your order, not a stock of 10,000 pieces waiting for a hypothetical buyer...

By favouring local sourcing and a short transport circuit, we avoid an ecological disaster which consists of producing on the other side of the planet.

Our customers are located all over Europe, and we group our shipments as much as possible to reduce their environmental impact.

But that's not all: at BED REPUBLIC, we also innovate for the planet!

We design and market products with a significant environmental impact, such as our EXTRAORDINARY mattress protector: 100% recycled and recyclable cotton. A technological feat serving the environment.

How do you limit the environmental impact?

We try to limit our impact as much as possible.

Even if it's not that simple, it's mainly our philosophy and our way of approaching the furniture/bedding/linen sector that allows us to limit our impact on the environment.

All these small actions, taken together, make us try to limit our footprint as much as possible:

  1. Produce less by only producing your order: this is a way to limit overproduction and unsold goods.
  2. Manufacturing to last: consume less but better, no more disposable products!
  3. We are reducing our distances: manufacturing close to home inevitably has an impact, both environmental and social.
  4. We try to limit the impact of our production as much as possible: 100% recycled cardboard without inks, group transport to ship all orders at once, natural materials whenever possible...

Small gestures, some deliberate and which sometimes complicate our lives, but respecting our environment is a real NEED.

We offer you a 60-night trial to test your mattress, bed base, or eligible product.

If it doesn't suit you, we promise to take it back - free of charge.

(not all products are included - the list of products included in the 60-night trial is shown below).

Which products are included in this 60-night trial offer?

- BED REPUBLIC BRAND mattresses - only BED REPUBLIC branded and labeled.

- All bed bases present on the site.

- All beds present on the site.

- All the headboards featured on the site.

To which geographical area does the 60-night trial apply?

Only in Metropolitan France, excluding Corsica.

For any request to pick up outside these areas, a special charge payable by the customer will be applied upon request.

I don't like my new product, is that normal?

Yes and no.

The feeling of novelty, especially in an environment like sleep, can be unsettling. Let's not jump to conclusions and want to return your product after the first night: if, for example, our mattresses are firmer than your old one, that's normal and "better" for your health, and unfortunately, this can only be verified over time.

The feeling of novelty can only be beneficial.

Where will my product go if it is returned?

Depending on its condition, your product is transferred to a specialist in processing this type of product, who will then:

- either give it a new life (reconditioning, sale...),

- or transfer it into the waste recovery sector.

We work with the service provider SMARTBACK, a specialist in the recovery of furniture waste, and we are a member of the ECOMAISON eco-organization , a non-profit organization created in December 2011 for the collection and recycling of used furniture.

What conditions must be met?

The product

- Must be purchased on the website www.bedrepublic.eu - otherwise the commitment does not apply.

- Must show no signs of improper use.

- Must be completely clean, without traces and without any hygiene defects.

- must be packaged (with adequate protection for transport), and made available at your ground floor door for collection.

And what about the other products?

You have a legal right of withdrawal of 14 days to renovate the product(s) concerned at your own expense.

For hygiene reasons, returned products must not be used.

Please note that we cannot take back bed linen and bath linen for hygiene reasons if the products have been unpacked.

We will take back your old bedding

At BED REPUBLIC, you benefit from the old bedding take-back service, guaranteed by the French recycling sector Ecomaison.

(Offer valid only for customers in metropolitan France and subject to the conditions below).

Conditions for benefiting from it?

If you purchase a product with similar characteristics from the website www.bedrepublic.eu, we can take back your old furniture or mattress.

The latter will be recycled or sold through the recovery channel.

A series of conditions are mandatory in order to be eligible for the trade-in service.

- Having placed an order on our website www.leonis-literie.com

- Having ordered a similar item: you buy a double mattress, we'll take back a double mattress...

- Having ordered a product with dimensions exceeding 30kg and a minimum length of 200cm. For smaller items, specialized collection bins are available.

- You must have sent your request for return within 48 hours of your order being validated.

- Provide us with all the requested documents and explanations.

- To have acceptance from our customer service for the return.

How do I request a takeover?

Upon validation of your order (paid in full), contact our customer service at help@bedrepublic.fr.

It will be necessary to provide several pieces of information beforehand to confirm that your return is possible.

Which items are affected?

- Similar item to your purchase: you buy a double mattress, we'll take back a double mattress...

- Item with characteristics of dimensions exceeding 30kg and with a development of at least 200cm.

Below, we invite you to deposit your products in specialized collection bins or at a waste disposal center.

The so-called "1 for 1" takeover?

It is giving a piece of furniture/product to our services, in exchange for a product with identical technical characteristics and dimensions/weight, with the aim of revaluing the product (recycling or reuse).

Is it mandatory to give away my old furniture or bedding when making a purchase?

Absolutely not!

And if you don't want to keep it, we recommend:

Sell ​​your item! There's always someone who will be interested...

- Giving it away: and it's a gesture for surely someone who will need it.

- Donating it to an association: And that's an even better gesture! Associations such as EMAUS will come and collect furniture directly from your home, provided it is in a reusable condition.

In which geographical area do you take back old furniture or bedding?

Only in Metropolitan France, excluding Corsica.

For any request to pick up outside these areas, a special charge will be applied and will be billed to the customer upon request.

Can I get back a piece of furniture that was given to me?

No, unfortunately.

A 1-for-1 buyback implies a final and irrevocable gift.

And this remains true even if the order is subsequently cancelled...

How is my return to work going?

Beforehand, when you confirm your order, you must:

1. Once your order has been accepted, inform our customer service that you would like a 1 for 1 return.

2. Provide by email to our customer service help@bedrepublic.fr the characteristics (nature, weight, dimensions...) of the product to be returned + your order reference.

Please note that without this analysis, which must be validated beforehand by our customer service department prior to delivery of your product, the return cannot be processed.

Will the return of my old product be on the same day as my delivery?

NO.

A specialist company will handle this step, a minimum of 15 days after receipt of your order.

We use the service provider SMART BACK, which has the logistics and skills to collect and recycle your old furniture or bedding.

Do I need to prepare my old piece of furniture for removal?

Yes, otherwise we will not be able to resume operations.

- Empty all additional objects or items.

- Carefully pack the product, protect it, to facilitate transport.

- Prepare the furniture or bedding at your doorstep, in front of your house, for removal.

A product that does not meet these conditions will be refused, and your trade-in benefit will be cancelled.

Delivery & Returns

Your delivery costs are calculated when you finalize your order.

Our delivery service is at the foot of your building or in front of your house door.

A little "cheaper" and eco-friendly tip : order the same types of products together (2 mattresses, one for you and one for your loved one) and you will find that the delivery costs remain the same.

As for returns, they are also free for mattresses, bed bases and eligible products under the 60-night trial policy .

Our deliveries are to the front door - ground floor of the building.

No delivery to upper floors or installation, except upon specific request and validation with our sales department.

How do you handle returns?

We will arrange for the return of the mattress and bed base at our expense if you are not satisfied within 60 days.

In the event of a logistical problem, return shipping costs are covered by us only if the issue or problem is reported immediately upon delivery in writing by the customer to both the carrier and our customer service department. It is essential to report the problem to the carrier; otherwise, the claim will be invalid.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer within the legal 14-day withdrawal period for the rest of the products (excluding mattresses and bed bases).

I wish to return a product, what is the procedure?

First, you need to:

- Please confirm that your purchase was made directly on the website www.leonis-literie.com. If this is not the case, please consult the terms and conditions with your seller/reseller.

- Make sure you check if you are within the legal withdrawal period (namely 14 days).

Steps:

1. Confirm your order by sending the order number + invoice.

2. Send us an email to our customer service department at help@bedrepublic.fr

- Purchase invoice

- Label with batch number

- Photos and videos of the product in its current condition.

- Reason for return (not mandatory but helpful).

It goes without saying that a returned product must meet a minimum standard of cleanliness and show no signs of damage.

All of this information will be analyzed in order to validate the acceptance of the return.

Please note that without this analysis, which must be validated beforehand by our customer service department prior to delivery of your product, the product return cannot be processed.

I have a return to make, what address should I send it to?

Before returning any item, please inform customer service in advance for efficient follow-up of your request.

Any return, without contact or information from customer service, cannot be processed and will be considered void!

The package(s) must be identified upon return using a label, to be clearly visible on the package (provided by our customer service).

Keep your shipping receipt safe, and above all, request a delivery notification, which proves that the package will be delivered to our returns department. Any photos and proof of shipment are helpful, especially in case of a carrier dispute.

Return shipping costs and ensuring delivery to our warehouse are your responsibility.

I've opened and set up my mattress, but I want to turn it over, how do I do that?

Returns are at BED REPUBLIC's expense under the 60-night trial guarantee.

Returns are at your expense - outside/after the 60-night guarantee, but also for all products not eligible for the 60-night trial guarantee.

Beyond this period, we do not accept returns for hygiene reasons.

If purchased through a reseller, the seller's terms and conditions apply, and we do not provide any reseller with the return conditions found on our BED REPUBLIC website.

By default, for all returns not guaranteed by the 60-night trial guarantee, the legal withdrawal period applies (14 days), for which the return costs are your responsibility.

I received my product, but I'm unsure about the size, should I open it?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Returning an opened mattress is much more expensive!

Bed linen, or bath linen, is considered "used" and therefore not recoverable if it has been opened and used.

If you have any doubt, do not open, if necessary contact us (optional if needed), and prefer to return it to our facilities in its original, UNOPENED packaging.

Do I need to take out transport insurance in case of return?

When returning an item at your own expense, it is STRONGLY recommended, to avoid any carrier disputes, that you insure your shipment for at least the value of your order. This will give you the assurance that a package that might be lost can be valued at its true worth.

Good to know: there is default insurance, governed by the transport code: in case of loss, the default transport insurance reimburses approximately €6-10 per kilogram (data as an example may vary depending on the type of shipment, goods and carrier...).

I would like delivery to the room of my choice, is that possible?

YES,

By default, our delivery is to the doorstep.

Premium delivery to the floor or room of your choice is optional and incurs an additional cost for this service, which will be established by a specific quote, after study of the case.

To do this, please contact our customer service department at help@bedrepublic.fr, who will review your request.

Up to 10-year warranty

Some of our quality at BED REPUBLIC.

It is therefore normal to offer you a 10-year guarantee* on its range of bed bases, mattresses and eligible products.

(*Valid only on a selection of products).

Which products are covered by the 10-year warranty?

- BED REPUBLIC BRAND mattresses - only BED REPUBLIC branded and labeled.

For all other mattresses sold on the BED REPUBLIC NON-BRAND website, the warranty is 5 years.

- All bed bases present on the site.

- All beds present on the site.

- All the headboards featured on the site.

All products on the site benefit from a default 2-year legal guarantee.

What does the warranty cover?

I have a problem with my product...

We'll take care of it right away!

Please inform us of this as soon as possible upon receipt of your purchase by contacting our Customer Care Service.

The longer the delay, the less effective the support will be if a problem is reported late.

In case of any production problems, please notify us immediately and without delay!

I bought your product from a reseller, am I entitled to the same warranty?

In this case, the retailer's warranty applies.

By default, the legal warranty for a product is 2 years, regardless of the product (European law). Therefore, wherever you buy a BED REPUBLIC product, it will have a minimum 2-year warranty, and possibly longer depending on the retailer's policy.

BED REPUBLIC offers its resellers manufacturer warranties ranging from 2 to 5 years maximum (depending on the agreements made with each of the resellers).

This therefore depends on your reseller's commercial and warranty policy; we invite you to discuss these points with your reseller.

Is it normal that my delivery is taking so long?

YES, it all depends on what you call long...

Between 1 and 5 weeks, it depends on your order: this is indicated when you place your order.

You will receive:

An order confirmation email

A shipping confirmation email with a tracking number for your order (order tracking) – long after your first order confirmation email.

An email containing your invoice.

So, between those two emails—the order confirmation and the order shipment—panic! No more news! They've forgotten me! Well, no, rest assured, we don't forget anyone…

Important note: nothing seems to happen between the time of order and delivery, this is normal because WE ARE WORKING to make and ship your product. If it helps reassure you, send us an email, we will reply… but please know that we do not forget any order.

P.S.: Regarding the comments about "it's taking too long" or "it's normal that it takes this long" - YES, BED REPUBLIC, if you haven't figured it out, it's a bit like choosing between a real restaurant with a promising and passionate chef... or fast food. Well, BED REPUBLIC isn't fast food, or fast fashion HOME that delivers in 15 minutes flat.
